J. Joseph Garrahy Judicial Complex

The Garrahy Judicial Complex is approximately 195,000 square feet. The courthouse was dedicated in 1980 in the name of J. Joseph Garrahy and houses the Superior, Family, District, and Workers' Compensation Courts.

Frank J. Licht Judicial Complex

Providence, Rhode Island 02903

The Licht Judicial Complex is approximately 198,000 square feet. Originally named the Providence County Courthouse, the complex was built between 1928 and 1933. The courthouse was renamed in 1986 after the Honorable Frank J. Licht and houses the Supreme and Superior Courts.

Florence K. Murray Judicial Complex

The Murray Judicial Complex is approximately 23,700 square feet. The courthouse was dedicated in September, 1927 as the Newport Courthouse. The building was renamed the Florence Kerins Murray Judicial Complex when a third floor was added in 1990 and houses the Superior, Family, and District Courts.

Philip W. Noel Judicial Complex

The Noel Judicial Complex is approximately 195,000 square feet. The new facility opened in August of 2006, has a four (4) story free parking garage, and houses the Superior, Family, and District Courts.​

J. Howard McGrath Judicial Complex

Wakefield, Rhode Island 02879​

Approximately 40,300 square feet, McGrath is located at 4800 Tower Hill Road, Wakefield. The courthouse was dedicated in 1988 in memory of J. Howard McGrath and houses the Superior, Family, and District Courts.​

Rhode Island Traffic Tribunal (RITT)

The RITT is approximately 86,000 square feet and opened in January 2007. The RITT handles most traffic cases and maintains driver accident and violation records. Also, the Rhode Island Sheriff’s Department is located here.​

Judicial Records Center (JRC)
5 Hill Street
Providence, Rhode Island 02860

The JRC serves as the central repository for the Rhode Island Judiciary's semi-active, inactive, and archival court records. Current records that are still necessary for the daily operations of the courts remain stored at the Clerk’s Office of the respective court. The JRC offers reference services to the courts, the bar, and to members of the public who wish to do research in these public records.
